About Oscar

My name is Rev. Oscar Brockmeyer, and I have been helping people to deepen their spiritual lives for over 35 years. I have over 20 years of experience as an individual and group spiritual companion (spiritual director). For 23 years I served as a Congregational church pastor in the United Church of Christ (UCC), and for 6 years I was the executive director of the nondenominational Spiritual Life Center in Hartford, CT, USA.

During a span of 16 years, I helped train over 100 persons to be spiritual companions. Supervision for spiritual service professionals is one of my specialties, and I have been providing this service for 18 years. I guide individuals and groups through the process of promoting justice in spiritually informed ways. Helping people discern the paths they will walk in life is a passion of mine. My master’s degrees in Divinity, Counseling, and Social Work support all these activities,

Deep listening and unconditional acceptance are foundations for my interactions with others. My ministry is based on the conviction that God/Sanctity is present throughout the cosmos. I serve people who relate with God in traditional ways and those who don't, those who want to cultivate a meaningful Way of Life, and those who desire a closer alignment with the Universe. It’s a pleasure for me to work with people from various cultures and spiritual traditions and I currently serve individuals from several African nations and Indonesia.
